Father William Murphy, C.S.B.

Father William Maximus Murphy, C.S.B., a Basilian Missionary and former pastor of several parishes in Texas, died January 30, 2004, in the Basilian Infirmary in Toronto, Canada. He was 86 years of age.

Basilians Receive Mission Award

The Basilian Fathers Missions have received the Bishop John McCarthy Mission Award, presented for outstanding work as an institution of mission.

Father Jack Whitley was presented with the award by the Texas Mission Council at their Spring 2002 meeting in San Antonio.






"Books for Colombia" Project

Father Frank Amico is determined that the students at Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion gain a quality education and is asking for help. 

Click on the bookplate to the right and print it out. Fill it in and mail it to mission headquarters with your donation for books for these young scholars.

This is a perfect way to honor someone, living or deceased, with a gift that will continue giving. The book plates will first be put on the altar at the chapel in Sugar Land so the priests there can remember both donor and honoree at Mass. Then the book plate will be sent to Colombia and put in the front of a book in Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion.
