Who We Are

The Basilian Fathers Missions is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving underprivileged communities in Mexico and Colombia through education and evangelization. Our apostolate is founded on the Basilian principles of goodness, discipline, and knowledge. These values have guided the cause of the Basilian Fathers Missions since the 1930’s when Basilian priests began ministering to Hispanics in South Texas.

Our Ministry

What began with ministry to migrant workers south and west of Houston, Texas has expanded to form a bedrock for Catholic evangelization in Mexico City and Tehuacan in Mexico, as well as the cities of Cali, Medellin, and Bogota in Colombia. These cities are comprised of communities where poverty and vice jeopardize children and their families. 

Teaching the Gospel to these vulnerable souls will help them know our Lord Jesus Christ, delivering them into His care for a brighter future. Likewise, our community outreach programs offer food and medicine to those in need of nourishment and medical service which they otherwise could not afford.
