Basilian
Fathers Missions
The Congregation of
St. Basil has served the Church of Canada and the United States for over 150 years. In addition to founding universities, colleges, schools and parishes, during the 1930s the Community established an apostolate to the Spanish-speaking immigrant people of the United States. This apostolate marked the beginning of the missionary work carried on today by the
Basilian Fathers Missions.
In the
1960s, in answer to the Papal call for missionaries to Latin
America, a team of Basilians crossed the border and began
working in Mexico. Our missions have since spread to Colombia,
South America.
